John Rayner October 31 2009 My car insurance with Churchill has no restriction on length of trailer but will not cover damage to the trailer or recovery of it.
John Rayner October 31 2009 Looked into trailer insurance a long time ago - the only way I could get cover, including recovery, was by joining the Caravan Club and they do a deal with the RAC which will cover ALL trailers.

BrianB October 26 2009 Time to check just what you are covered for when towing a glider trailer with your car. I have just been told by Direct Line that they will NOT cover me when towing a trailer in excess of 6m.
